You have one chance to make a good first impression when contacting literary agents and publishers. To ensure that your agent query stands out, we’ll help you craft a strong query letter that you can tailor for each agent you contact. We’ll also evaluate and polish your book synopsis and the first several chapters of your manuscript (25 or 50 double-spaced pages). Since most agents ask to read a sample from your book, you will want those pages to be representative of your best work. Included is a consultation call with your editor.

Book Proposal Package
Proposal + sample chapter(s)
Many agents and publishers these days require that you submit a book proposal—essentially a business plan for your nonfiction book—that includes an overview of your book idea, detailed chapter summaries, a list of comparative titles, your author bio, a marketing plan, and one or two sample chapters. (Please check each agency’s submission guidelines to learn what they require.) This document is typically 20 double-spaced pages but could be as long as 50 or more pages. With the book proposal edit, you’ll get a thorough review and line edit of your book proposal and sample chapters, as well as an hour-long consultation call with your editor.
