Rachel Howard

Rachel Howard is the author of the memoir The Lost Night and the novel The Risk of Us. For the past ten years, she's been teaching courses on memoir writing at Stanford Continuing Studies and the San Francisco Writers' Grotto, and has done stints as Visiting Writer at the St. Mary's College MFA program and Interim Director of Undergraduate Writing at Warren Wilson, where she got her MFA. She also reviews dance for the San Francisco Chronicle. As an editor, she has helped several authors land agents and sell books. She lives in northern California.
